Max Joseph announced that he will be leaving MTV reality show “Catfish” after seven years.

“Hey guys, the time has come, sadly, for me to move on from Catfish,” he tweeted on Wednesday. “Working on this show for the last seven years has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I’ve learned a lot about myself, my country and human nature in general. Nev [Schulman] and I have become brothers and our bromance has blossomed before your eyes”.

After 7 seasons, 115 episodes, and 31 specials, the show is still going strong. Max feels like it is his time to make his exit because of his struggle of of juggling both his demanding careers as a TV host and filmmaker.

Nev Schulman wants Cardi B as his next ‘Catfish’ co-host ’cause he likes it like that!!
However, he knows it could be tricky to get her on board so he may try to hook her in for at least a guest hosting gig. Nev also stated that if not Cardi, he is definitely keen on getting a woman’s take on the show.
