“Pay Your Bills” Contest Rules

Hot 104.7 FM, WHTP, owned and operated by Mainestream Media, LLC, is running a contest during the following dates, for the following prizes, as further described below.
Dates of Contest: March 25, 2013 begins the entry period, and winners are selected April 1, 2013 through May 24, 2013.
Prizes: Up to two (2) prizes will be awarded per weekday beginning Monday April 1, each consisting of a check valued at up to five hundred ($500) dollars (“Prize”). Value of each Prize – $500 or less. Prize is dependent upon the amount on the bill that was submitted. The maximum prize that can be won at any given time is $500. Prize will be issued in the form of a check. It is the entrant’s sole responsibility to pay their own bills and expenses. Check may take up to six (6) weeks to process after all completed winner forms are returned to Hot 104.7. Prize(s) provided by Hot 104.7. Contest not valid on weekends and holidays unless otherwise mentioned herein or announced on air. A total of two (2) daily winners, one (1) winner per designated cue to call-in playtime, subject to verification, shall be selected to win a prize for a total of no more than 80 possible on-air winners for the contest period.
How to Enter: There are two ways to enter the “Pays Your Bills” Contest. How to enter is as follows:
a. A copy of one bill per week (beginning each Monday during the Contest Period), with your name and phone number written on the bill, may be scanned and e-mailed to bills@hot1047maine.com as of Monday March 25, 2013, with the first winner being selected on Monday April 1, 2013.
b. A copy of one bill per week (beginning each Monday during the Contest Period), with your name and phone number written on the bill, can be mailed to Hot 104.7 at “Hot 104.7, Attn: Pays Your Bills c/o Mainestream Media, LLC, 89 Mussey Road, Suite 100, Scarborough, ME, 04074”, as of Monday March 25, 2013, with the first winner being selected on Monday April 1, 2013.
Valid contest entries must be a photocopy or scan of the entrant’s original bill. No original bills will be accepted. The account number on the bill must be blocked out or covered. Any bill in Hot 104.7’s possession after the Dates of Contest will be destroyed. Hot 104.7 will not return copies of any bills submitted. Only one (1) entry per person per week is permitted for the duration of the Contest. Entries are subject to any applicable restrictions or eligibility requirements listed herein. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the bill and telephone phone number submitted at the time of entry and qualification.
How To Win: Beginning Monday, April 1, 2013, listen to the station weekdays at approximately 8:30AM, and 5:30PM Eastern for your name and city to be announced. If you hear the DJ call out your name and city, you must call the contest line at 207-807-1104 within 10 minutes and 4 seconds. Names will be chosen at random from all entries received. If the entrant does not successfully call in, and get through to Hot 104.7, within the allotted amount of time, and/or if the entrant is unable to verify registration information the entrant will automatically be disqualified and their prize will be forfeited at that time. Hot 104.7, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to select an alternate entry to announce at that time. Any contestant must be the participant who originally dialed the phone to the radio station to participate in the contest. No family members, friends, office associates, or any other person will be allowed to participate in the contest on another person’s behalf. The contestant must provide their own name and own phone number, if a contestant uses a false or incomplete name or phone number, they will be immediately disqualified from the contest and be ineligible to win any prize. If the entrant successfully calls, Hot 104.7 will pay the entrant the amount due on the bill submitted (up to a maximum of $500.00). If a bill is less than $500.00, the entrant will be awarded the total amount of the bill. If the bill is over $500.00, the payment will be $500.00. Bill payments will never exceed $500. It is the entrant’s sole responsibility to pay their own bills and expenses. The maximum prize that can be won is $500.00. No more than 80 names will be called to win a prize during the Contest Period.
WARNING: Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions due to buffering limitations. Contest participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts. Hot 104.7 assumes no responsibility for contestants not making timely phone calls to the station as a result of the delays in the Internet stream, or for any other reason.
